This is Nashville's hidden Soul Food gem!! Everything I've tried has been delicious. It's hard to find a good soul food restaurant in Nashville, especially one that doesn't disappoint. The smoked chicken is my favorite!! Also they have a card that will give you a free meal after you've purchased a certain amount of meals (please ask about the rules for the meals that are counted). This place definitely has a family feel to it. If you want comfort food that'll give you "The ITIS" afterwards, this is the place to try!

This is a family run restaurant. The ad reads soul, but it's just good ole down home Southern cookin. They make certain meals for everyday and their pies are out of this world. Give yourself a treat. And visit Baily & Cato.

Bayyyybeeeee when I say this is the BEST soul food I’ve ever had in my life I mean it (and don’t say that lightly) Best yams I’ve ever had Best greens I’ve ever had Best fried catfish I’ve ever had Best ribs I’ve ever had Bomb Mac n cheese and corn too Literally been dreaming about this food all week. It was so good I went back the same day and got a second plate cannot say enough amazing stuff about the food here. Wish I lived closer — I would eat here weekly.

After showing rentals stopped in for delicious meat and two-style food. Robert N. Hoff had lasagna and I had ox tail with gravy. Delicious fried cornbread, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese.

My husband and I are visiting from Tampa FL. We got this recommendation from an attendant at our rental car place. Oh my, what a pleasant experience. The food is amazing from the seasoning to portion size. I consider myself a foodie and am a very picky and judgmental eater. And I will say this is the best soul food I have eaten. ...

I ordered 2 ox tail plates Mac/ cheese,turnip greens. Second plate was still ox tails,turnip greens, white beans. Corn bread on both. Yes I’m eating both. Let me tell you they have the best ox tails in the city. The greens are mellow and nothing has changed about the good food.

Wow, this place was impressive. I had the catfish. Cooked to perfection. Not dry or overcooked. It was fluffy and just melted in your mouth. The cornbread was spectacular. As was the slaw, and that's hard for me. I don't like most coleslaws. It also wasn't dry or buried in sauce. Good flavor and again fresh. Everything here is freshly made. I had some of the stuffing also. Cornbread stuffing... OMG... it was also fantastic. I think that everything here is going to be amazing. You may have to wait a moment for your food. But it is 100% worth it. Daily meals change. I can't wait to go try something else. Location is open, a few tables, and tvs. The stands for the line are pretty big, so I would assume they get very busy at times.

My friends and I had an annual party to celebrate 2 birthdays and decided to have Bailey and Cato's cater the affair. We were gobsmacked by how hot, fresh and delicious all of the food was and everyone came away satisfied. We had catfish and salmon croquets with mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and turnip greens and cornbread.
